Commissions are a collaborative process. Often
we start with sketches and/or design suggestions from us to you. The proposals
are still open to discussion and alteration - indeed we welcome and enjoy sharing
& developing ideas with our clients.
Otherwise knowing and enjoying the uniqueness of our previously viewed pieces,
you may prefer to leave the commission completely in our hands, confident that
the work produced will surely delight you. Browse through our site and find
examples that appeal to you. When you find something, simply let us know. We
make ideas real in our jointly chosen material; paint, canvas, wood panel, paper,
encaustic wax, and mixed medium. Your vision can come to life and be realized
in so many places: public, domestic, indoors, outdoors, large and small, decorative,
commemorative or functional.
The work is carried out in the studio, to be installed on site when completed.
It is essential to spend some time talking to the client about their needs and
what will work best in the space their piece will be hung. We like to know
where the paintings will most likely reside and, for oversize works, a small
jpeg image of the room is very useful. A 50% deposit is required initially,
with the remainder payable upon completion. Art is not just for Art Galleries!
